Ah a new year has come crashing in to my life.  Doesn’t seem like five minutes ago that I was happily babbling to all about the joys of learning to browse and shop online.  This in itself has helped me to start overcoming my natural tendency towards serious bah humbugitus at the approach to Christmas.  Aas soon as the retail industry churns out their tacky stuff in August, filling the supermarkets with the junk, I feel physically sick with discomfort at the commercialisation of this sacred time.  I remmeber when the shops would stay open late for a couple of days up to and including Christmas eve, for the poor harassed mums to get everything sorted.  Then they would be shut for a few days, some until after New Year, when the sales would start in earnest.

Now we have sales online, but in October and November.  Ah, here I go again – happy near year all!
